Do you know who you are?

Knowing could change your life, it could rearrange your thinking, it could mean millions of dollars.

In 2002, Russell Christoff saw his image on a canister of coffee in a drug store. Evidently, he had modeled for the company earlier in his life and thought they scraped his pictures as he never heard from them again.

He was wrong.

He was on every can of Taster’s Choice for 16 years.  After a long protracted court battle, it was believed his likeness on the packaging helped Nestle sell their coffee for years.  Enough to net Russell a $15.6 million payday.

Wow.

Knowing who you are matters.

Before the law – you are very very sinful. (Romans 3:20).

Through faith in Jesus we are made right with God (Romans 3:22).

In God’s kindness we are declared righteous (Romans 3:24).

Now we are no longer slaves to sin (Romans 6:6).

Now we are children of God (Romans 8:16).

Now we are part of the body of Christ (Romans 12:5)

We are God’s building, workers and field (1 Cor. 3:9)

We are never abandoned (2 Cor. 4:9).

We are the temple of the living God, we are not our own (2 Cor. 6:16).

We are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10)

We are citizens of heaven and awaiting Jesus’ return (Philip. 3:20)

Who are you?

We can either believe what what others say about us or we can know what God says about us.  The eternal Judge has seen the evidence, the penalty has been paid by Christ.

And we are free.
