S5•E29 | Romans 16 1-15 | Team Work Makes A Dream Work

About This Project

This talk could literally save your life. 💯

We are suffering from a serious pandemic and it’s not a pandemic that begins with COVID. It’s a pandemic that begins with loneliness– it’s a loneliness pandemic.

This is part of a larger problem in the world with Millennials and Gen Xers stating that while they may be connected with thousands of friends they still feel all alone.

Researchers have found loneliness can significantly increase the risk of early death and is linked to a striking number of disorders including cognitive disorders like Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia, mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia, cardiovascular disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and other chronic illnesses.

It’s not a stretch to say that loneliness is a public health emergency.

Today we study what God says about how to solve the problem of loneliness.

Points to Note:

  1. God Remembers the Names of His Servants – So should we!
  2. EVERY Christian is a MINISTER & every MINISTER NEEDS a MEMBERSHIP.
  3. It takes TEAMWORK to make the DREAM WORK.
  4. God does not call you to individual faith but corporate cooperation to advance the faith.

What we CAN draw from Romans 16
‣Great men like Paul relied on a long list of
partners to accomplish ministry.
‣Women were of great importance to the Early
Church.
‣The Gospel’s appeal touched many different
kinds of people from all walks of life.

What we CAN’T draw from Romans 16
‣Women were elevated to the same position as
the Apostles / Pastors / Elders.
‣House churches are the New Testament
standard and ideal.
‣The Gospel is ONLY for the poor and
disadvantaged of society.

ASIDE: FINDING your PLACE in GOD’S PURPOSE
•Look at WHO you are surrounded by.
•Look at WHAT you’ve been given.
•Take INVENTORY of your talents
(or opportunities to develop talents).

THREE QUESTIONS:
1. Do you have a few “beloved” friends in your life?
2.Are you serving alongside people you love in ministry?
3.Are you naming names and showing appreciation?
