About This Project

What is your destiny?

What are you giving your life to?

How do you discover your prophetic calling?

How would you live if you actually had a divine destiny?

The HOUSE of God is NOT just for the PEOPLE in it. Your peace with God has a purpose. There is nothing in this universe that the Creator does not shout and proclaim “Mine”.

Let’s dive into God’s Word for the answers as we study King Solomon and 1 Kings 5 for the Wisdom of Building God’s House.

Key Verses:

1 Kings 5:4–5 (ESV) But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side. There is neither adversary nor misfortune. 5 And so I intend to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord said to David my father, ‘Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, shall build the house for my name.’

Only One Life Poem

Two little lines I heard one day, Traveling along life’s busy way; Bringing conviction to my heart, And from my mind would not depart; Only one life, twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last. Only one life, the still small voice, Gently pleads for a better choice Bidding me selfish aims to leave, And to God’s holy will to cleave; Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Only one life, a few brief years, Each with its burdens, hopes, and fears; Each with its clays I must fulfill, living for self or in His will; When this bright world would tempt me sore, When Satan would a victory score; When self would seek to have its way, Then help me Lord with joy to say; Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last. Give me Father, a purpose deep, In joy or sorrow Thy word to keep; Faithful and true what e’er the strife, Pleasing Thee in my daily life;

Oh let my love with fervor burn, And from the world now let me turn; Living for Thee, and Thee alone, Bringing Thee pleasure on Thy throne; Only one life, “twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last. And when at last I’ll hear the call, I know I’ll say “twas worth it all”; And when I am dying, how happy I’ll be, If the lamp of my life has been burned out for Thee Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Questions to Consider:

  1. What are you giving your life to right now?
  2. How would you live if you knew you had a divine destiny?
  3. How do you deal with the unbelievers in your life?
  4. What does wisdom look like in your life?
  5. How are you building up God’s House?

Pastoral Thought:

  • TRUTH: YOU are HIS HOUSE

  • When you give yourself to build God’s House you are building up your own life.
