About This Project

📖 Are You Treasuring the Right Things?

In a world consumed by fear, comparison, and control, Jesus offers a better way. In Kingdom Come Part 13, Pastor Tim Hatch unpacks Matthew 6:19–34 to show why money, possessions, and anxiety are deeply spiritual matters—and how believers today can find freedom in God’s Kingdom.

Jesus offers you freedom. Not through more wealth, but through more trust. Let this teaching remind you that you are worth more than birds, more beautiful than lilies, and cared for by a loving Father who knows exactly what you need.

📖 Key Takeaways:

  • Treasure reveals trust: Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also (v. 21).
  • The eye is the lamp: What you focus on fuels either spiritual light or darkness (v. 22–23).
  • Anxiety is a spiritual indicator: Jesus connects worry with misplaced trust (v. 25–32).
  • God knows what you need: Birds don’t stress, lilies don’t toil, yet God provides for them (v. 26–30).
  • Kingdom-first living: Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness (v. 33).
Pastor Tim illustrates how modern culture—especially digital distractions and materialistic mindsets—contribute to our anxiety. He challenges us to shift our focus, examine where our money is going, and trust God’s faithful provision. 🔑 Application for Today:
  • Audit Your Spending
Take 15 minutes this week to review your bank or credit card statement. Where is your money going? What does it say about your heart’s priorities? Use this as an opportunity to realign your finances with Kingdom values.

  • Guard Your Eyes
Limit your social media consumption to 30 minutes a day for one week. Pay attention to how this impacts your anxiety, focus, and spiritual clarity. What you set before your eyes shapes your inner life.

  • Pray Through Your Worry
Every time anxiety creeps in, stop and pray this simple prayer:
“Father, I surrender this worry to You. I trust that You see me, You know my needs, and You will provide.”
Repeat as often as needed—and let peace replace pressure.

  • Take a Step Toward Generosity
Whether it’s tithing, blessing someone in need, or supporting Gospel work—take one intentional step this week to be generous. Not because God needs your money—but because you need to train your heart to trust Him.

  • Fix Your Focus
Write down Matthew 6:33 and place it where you’ll see it every day:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Let this verse guide your decisions, mindset, and daily direction.
